Ship the day it clears, not the day it sells
Two business days is short if payment lands on a Friday. Pack the device the moment the listing sells, print the label when the funds show, and the deadline stops being a scramble.
Swappa sales stay domestic — every order delivers to a US address, with buyers abroad routed through forwarding warehouses — and the seller carries the shipping, defined by the platform as ground service with a tracking number and cover for the full listing price. A phone in a padded envelope quoted $8.86 from Newark to Atlanta on 2026-07-28, so it is the cover, not the postage, that decides your margin.
An $8.86 label plus cover on a $450 handset is a very different number from the label alone.
Those four lines mean your ask price has to swallow both a label and a coverage charge before you see a dollar of profit. Sellers who list at the price they saw someone else get, then discover the shipping cost afterwards, are the ones who end up posting about thin margins.
The most common Swappa parcel there is. Every price below is the full amount collected at checkout, not postage alone.
| Carrier | Service | Price | Quoted window |
|---|---|---|---|
| USPS | Ground Advantage | $8.86 | 8-9 business days |
| FedEx | Ground Economy | $10.06 | 6-7 business days |
| UPS | Ground | $10.31 | 2-3 business days |
| UPS | 3 Day Select | $15.13 | 5-6 business days |
| UPS | 2nd Day Air | $15.38 | 2-3 business days |
Postage on a phone is trivial. Coverage is not. USPS publishes added coverage for a declared value of $300.01 to $400.00 at $6.05, and $400.01 to $500.00 at $7.55 (USPS Notice 123, re-checked 2026-07-28). On a $450 handset that turns an $8.86 label into a shipping cost near sixteen dollars, which is a number your ask price needs to know about before you post it.
Swappa itself does not ship internationally. Sellers located outside the United States cannot create listings, and an international buyer purchases by providing a US shipping address with a US-based payment source — both rules per swappa.com/international, checked 2026-08-10.
What looks like an international Swappa order is a domestic shipment with a second leg bolted on. The buyer rents a US address from a forwarding warehouse — Swappa names Stackry, which forwards to more than 200 countries, and Quick Box USA, which covers Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Panama — and unless a listing is marked as supporting one of those partners, buyers are told to get the seller's permission before purchasing through any forwarder. The seller's side stays simple: the label runs to a US warehouse at ordinary domestic rates, the same kind priced in the table above.

A condition dispute is decided by evidence. Photos of the powered-on screen, the IMEI, the padding and the sealed parcel take ninety seconds and answer nearly every claim a buyer can raise while the risk is still yours.
SMKlog sells single US domestic parcel labels with no account needed. There is no Swappa integration, no fulfillment and no international service. You buy the label, then add the tracking number to the sale page yourself.
The seller does. Swappa states that sellers pay for standard shipping and advises accounting for it when setting an ask price during listing creation. That makes the label a cost of sale rather than something you can pass on at checkout.
Swappa's rule is that sellers ship within two business days after the date they receive their payment. Holidays do not count as business days, so a Friday sale on a long weekend leaves less room than it looks like it does.
Standard shipping on Swappa is defined as ground service with a tracking number and cover for the full listing price, and the seller remains responsible for the product until it reaches the buyer's address. USPS lists added coverage for a $400.01 to $500.00 declared value at $7.55.
You can buy a US domestic parcel label here as a guest, but it is not issued through Swappa. We have no integration with the marketplace and no fulfillment service, so you paste the tracking number into the sale page yourself.
Not itself. Sales deliver to US addresses, and sellers located outside the United States cannot create listings, per swappa.com/international, checked 2026-08-10. Buyers abroad go through US forwarding warehouses instead, and outside listings marked for Swappa's named partners they need the seller's permission before buying that way. The label a seller buys still ships to a US address.
