OfferUp shipping fees, now that the app is local-only
There is no OfferUp shipping fee to look up anymore, because OfferUp retired in-app nationwide shipping in the fall of 2025 and went back to being a meet-in-person marketplace. Deals still close across distance; the parcel just becomes your own arrangement, so it helps to know what the box will actually cost to move.

What happened to OfferUp shipping
OfferUp wound its nationwide shipping program down in two dated steps, announced in the help center notice titled Nationwide shipping ending (help.offerup.com/hc/en-us/articles/41043186552980, read 2026-08-10). From September 23, 2025, newly posted items could no longer offer shipping and had to be local pickup only. On October 21, 2025, the shipping option came off existing listings that had no active offers or in-progress transactions. The notice adds that there are no plans to bring nationwide shipping back, and steers buyers and sellers to local Community MeetUp Spots instead.
So the fee question has a short answer: the buyer-side shipping fee and the shipped-sale checkout are gone along with the program. What remains for a distant deal is ordinary self-arranged shipping. The seller boxes the item, the two of you settle who covers the label, and the label gets bought at carrier rates like the ones below.

Secondhand items skip the retail packaging that once protected them. A snug carton, real fill and a photo of the packed box protect both the item and your reputation as a seller.
Some things should stay local
A dresser or a treadmill quotes like furniture, because it is. If the number comes back looking like freight, meeting a nearby buyer or requesting a freight review beats forcing a parcel label.

How much is shipping for an OfferUp item?
Our generic 17.6 lb example quoted $21.77 to $32.23 on 2026-07-27 from Newark to Atlanta. Lighter items fall well below that, and big furniture rises out of parcel range entirely, so quote the specific thing.
Can I buy a label without joining anything?

What if my item is too big for a parcel?
